With just under a month left of the season across England, clubs are looking for way to potentially strengthen their squad ahead of a busy summer of cross nation tours and of course the World Cup in Germany.
One player who certainly will not be making the trip across the North Sea is Sam Sodje as his home nation Nigeria have not qualified, however his future could well be decided before then if Brentford do not gain promotion to the Championship.
After DJ Campbell left for Birmingham in January it was revealed by Allen that his defender had turned down a move to Southampton in the very same transfer window, it now seems as if this has not only made people aware of his ability but has also heightened interest in the Brentford defenders skills.
The Bees run in the FA Cup and excellent performances in front of TV cameras have apparently alerted Premiership Fulham and also newly promoted Reading who are looking to add to their sqaud for next season.
Fulham were also in for Sodje during the January window and at the time the Nigerian said,
"Fulham have approached my manager and told him they'll do everything possible to get me when the transfer window opens."
Though no move materialised because of time factors it appears that if the price is right then Allen will not stand in the way of his defenders dream move as he has often stated his want for a top flight move.
Sodje's future is believed to largely be dependant on which division Brentford are playing in next season however and promotion to Coca Cola Championship could curb his hunger for a little longer.
