Ahead of his sides 3-0 win in their final pre season friendly this evening, the Brentford boss was able to take time out of his busy preparation period to give the fans a message ahead of the new season 'We WILL give you something to shout about'.

Despite player sales and a small playing squad ahead of next weeks game with Blackpool the Brentford boss is confident that his club can overcome the odds and not only gain promotion but also impress in the Football Leagues new innovation, 'Real Football Roar'.

With the Premiership not starting for another three weeks, the beginning of August gives fans around the country to get a taste of 'real' football as the Coca Cola Leagues are given sole attention by supporters. To encourage fans active participation in the joys of the new campaign, the Football League are offering an award for the noisiest atmospheres at the opening two weekend games in each league.

The club who's supporters generate the most noise will be awarded the honour of being named the loudest fans in the Coca Cola League. Lord Mawhinney the chairman of the organisation said,

"The start of the season is an exciting time for all supporters and the atmosphere they generate is vital to the spectavle of League Football"

Before the game against Blackpool, Bees fans, like many others, will have the chance to have their decibel levels measured and see how noisy Griffin Park actually is.

Manager Leroy Rosenior spoke to the press briefly after the launch of the new idea and promised that he will do his best to give Brentford fans something to shout about,

"Whenever I've been to Griffin Park the fans have been unbelieveable. Bees fans have a great reputation, paticularily at home and I want to keep this tradition going with the players giving the fans "off your bum" football that supporters will respond to, and the players will, in turn, react to their support"

After the successes of the 'win a player' compeition, Brentford will once again be looking to start the season on a high.
