Reports in the newspapers suggest that Brentford have come a step closer to naming their new manager. Since the departure of Martin Allen in shock circumstances the board have been considering replacements and it appears that they have selected Leroy Rosenior as their new boss.

Although no decision has been made official the Shrewsbury boss quit his job at Gay Meadow and it believed to be taking up a position in the bees hot seat as soon as terms between the two have been finalised.

"Leroy has gone," said boss Gary Peters

"But he's taken up a post thats a job that he cant turn down"

The official website of the Shrews published the news of Roseniors coaching departure this morning as it seems as if he is the boards number one candiate for the job.

Peters continued,

"We gave Leroy the chance to get backed into management he's done a great job for us but the downside is other people have seen this and would like to offer him another opperunity."

Brentford themselves have refused to comment on the issue however with Rosenior becoming available it is likely that Brentford will make him their new manager. With preseason approaching Greg Dyke and the board will be hoping to give Rosenior some time to make some transfers, especially as the budget is not large and the current squad is fairly small.
