Brentford manager Andy Scott has backed skipper Kevin O'Connor to break the club's all-time appearance record. Midfielder O'Connor played his 400th game for the Bees last season, taking him to fourth on the Bees' appearance list, and the 28-year-old should have plenty of time to pass record-holder Ken Coote's mark of 559. Brentford host Fulham in O'Connor's testimonial on Wednesday to mark his 10 years at the club. Scott said: "Kevin has been terrific for this club and he thoroughly deserves a good turn-out for his testimonial game. "He's a model pro who all the young players look up to and conducts himself impeccably. "He's still got a long way to go if he looks after himself and there's no reason why he cannot break the record. It would be fitting if he did."
