With four draws in a row, Brentford and their supporters we're once more fearing a disapointing end to a League campaign which promised so much. With the home side struggling in a battle to stay in League One, both sides needed the three points for different reasons.

After a battling performance and ninety minutes hard work it turned out to be Martin Allen's Brentford side who came away with a victory to boost their flagging promotion hopes.

With two games to go in the League Brentford are now secured in a playoff place and with leaders Southend losing and Colchester fighting back to some form, the Bees need to keep up a head of steam if they want to claim an automatic place in the Championship and avoid the lottery of the playoffs.

What the manager said?
The boss was obviously delighted with the bees performance today but refused to get carried away,

"It's pleasing to know we've qualified for another competition (the playoffs) but theres still two games left so who knows"

"The most important thing is that my players put in ninety minutes hard work and came away with what they deserved."

On his sides current form he said,

"Well there's two ways you can look at it. We've been struggling for luck recently and today things went our way. Hopefully back at home next week we can finish off the season at Griffin Park in style."

What the players said?
Scoring his first goal for Brentford since his move in the transfer window Callum Willock was delighted with not only his contribution but his teams three points,

"Obviously it's nice to get off the mark, but it wouldnt have meant anything to me if we didnt win."

"The boys have been working hard all week and we got what we deserved today."

Kevin O'Connor was also delighted stating,

"As players we're happy to get back on track. If we are going to be involved in a playoff competition it's important we go in with some kind of form."

What the fans said?
Travelling in their masses to Swindon's County Ground Bees fans were happy to finally see their time get a win. Steve Jenkins said,

"Today we finally did what we've been looking like what we could have don for weeks."

"Coupled with the result we got a performance which is extremely promising."

Opposition fans Colin Bell said,

"Our players made some terrible decisions on the pitch and it cost us."

"Brentford played well and they definately deserved the win, but for Swindon it going to take a massive effort for us to stay in this division next season"
