Allen said,
"I have spoken to Jay and he has reinforced his desire to play at a higher level, with no disrespect to anybody at Brentford Football Club."
"Therefore in the best interests of the club I'll be placing Jay Tabb on the transfer list."
This comes a huge blow to Allen and the fans of the Bees who hoped Tabb would be presuaded to stay after a sucessful campaign.
Allen also informed the supporters of more outs,
"Following more chats this morning I've informed Isaiah Rankin and Jamie Smith that at this time I am unable to offer them contracts for next season. However there will be ongoing negotiations with both players through the summer."
Allen is presumably looking to start a fresh with the squad however if he cannot bring in the required quality then he has the option to being Rankin and Smith back in on short term deals.
