Following complaints about the queue's last week before the Southampton cup tie the safety officer at the club has decided to review CCTV footage to see if he can identify any causes of the problem.
Despite the gates being opened at 6:35, the queues were at their worst by 7:00, this could be because of several factors which are currently being investigated including:
- Close to 4000 spectators entering through 8 turnstyles
- Programme sellers were located on footpaths often obstructing supporters from entering the gate
- The queues were not supervised by sufficient amounts of stewards meaning que jumping was an issue
