Three games into the pre season programme and Leroy Rosenior is still desperately looking for additions to his current playing squad.

With over ten players leaving this Summer for pastures new it appears that Rosenior is attempting to mould the squad in his own way and believes that the only way to do so is pick his targets carefully.

The Brentford manager has had an oppertunity to look at some players who have been on trial with the club over the Summer and after signing Pinault and Griffiths he believes the best way forward is a cautious aproach,

"I'd like to offer everyone who's played for us in pre season a contract; but that's simply not realistic."

"They've all worked hard but the best way forward for the club is to continue to pick and choose the best performers."

Paul Brooker, who was originally released on a free transfer has started all three games for the club in pre season and looks set to sign a one year deal at some point in the next few weeks. Hillingdon striker Dave Lawrence has been told that he will not be offered a deal despite featuring in all three games.

Other trialists Serge Mafoko and Paul Smith have both been told that they will not be offered deals and they have departed to be reunited with Brentford's former manager at the MK Dons.
