After Saturdays defeat, Coppell said "Once again, we have seen what a thin line it is between winning and losing, and at the moment we're just the wrong side.
"We will just have to work hard as I know our players will. We have hard work in abundance and have the determination to do well. I have never questioned the effort of this squad of players and I know I won't need to."
"The players are very disappointed at the moment but they are also the type of players who will look straight ahead to the next game," said Coppell. "It is down to hard work to get us out of this little run and we have hard work in abundance. They are determined to do well."
He commented on the injured players (Willo, Gibbo, Boxall, Rowlands). He said "They will be like new signings when we get them back fit but the question is when will that be?".
Asked if he could add to the squad while the injured players are out, he said "I would love to go to Villa and take David Ginola off their hands, but he probably wouldn't want to come here.
"That is the sort of problem you face in management at this level, but we are still hopeful that we will have a few back from injury soon and that will help."
Kevin O'Connor was quoted as saying after Saturdays defeat: "The goal was a real kick in the teeth at the time it came.
It was a real sucker punch and it killed us really."
"In the second half we showed a lot more spirit, but we were unlucky. We had a shot cleared off the line which looked over the line, but it was one of those things," he said.
On tonights match he said "Hopefully if we get a good result it could give us a good platform for Thursday. A good win there and we're right back into it," said O'Connor.
"It's disappointing to lose the unbeaten home run but realistically it had to happen sooner or later and now we can start from scratch again.
"The lads are disappointed but we have plenty of character and we'll bounce back."
