Brentford director, Doug White, promoted to the Brentford board only last week with a remit to improve facilities at Griffin Park in the short term, has revealed his ambitious ideas.
Speaking at the BIAS meeting held in the Stripes Bar on Tuesday evening, White, mentioned his proposals for extending the Brook Road 'home' terrace as well as putting a roof on the Ealing Road visitor's end.
The ideas are just two outlined in a ten-point plan aimed at generating sufficient income to secure Brentford's immediate future, prior to their proposed move to the Lionel Road site.
White who has also been instrumental in moving the new stadium plans forward, confirmed that the club had the support of the local council with regard to his proposals to extend the capacity of Griffin Park to 15, 000:
“We have a very willing, very supportive partner in Hounslow Borough council. I can’t tell you how much support there is at senior member level. The Chairman and deputy Chairman attend every meeting with Brentford Football Club”.
