Jubilant Hereford United sealed promotion to League One with a brilliant 3-0 win at Griffin Park.
Graham Turner's men, who came up from the Conference two years ago, made it look easy in their crunch promotion clash against a lacklustre Bees side.
Gary Hooper gave the visitors the lead on 19 minutes when he took advantage of some slack Bees defending to finish with aplomb.
Clint Easton should have made it two on 25 minutes when his rasping drive was well saved by Ben Hamer and ten minutes later Hamer was the hero in bizarre circumstances.
The visitors were awarded a seeming innocuous penalty from which Theo Robinson scored, but his spot-kick was ordered to be retaken and Hamer saved at the second attempt.
But it did not matter when just a minute later the same player took advantage of a cock-up on the left to round Hamer and score.
After the break Hooper sent a shot wide after a good flowing move, but former Hereford man Alan Connell reminded the visitors of the threat down the other end with an overhead kick just over.
Robinson then fired wide before Glenn Poole put Hereford's hearts in mouths with two efforts within the space of a few minutes. He first forced a brilliant save from Wayne Brown with a sizzling volley and then hit the crossbar with a belting free-kick.
But Hereford broke from the free-kick and Trent McClenahan squared for sub Simon Johnson to finish and wrap up promotion.
The Hereford fans chanted for their team at the final whistle and they were rewarded when their heroes came out for a lap of honour.
